Summary
As per the latest Gauntlet recommendations, this VIP will raise BCH borrow cap from 7,000 to 9,000.
Gauntlet also recommended increasing the TRX Borrow cap but this change will be applied directly on the new TRX market soon to be launched on Venus due to the TRON Contract Swap on BNB Chain.
Reasoning
BCH has nearly reached its borrow cap, and its utilization has grown recently.
Higher borrow cap for increasingly utilized tokens will provide a better experience for users who wish to borrow them and yield more revenue for the protocol without adding outsized market risk.
Supporting 2,000 additional BCH (or $246k) at an APY of 10.04% could yield up to $24,700 in extra annual revenue.
