Venus UI Update Notice Venus has just deployed an update to the frontend with two features that should make the life of users easier: Allowance revoking feature: users can now see their spending limit for a given asset when it is lower than their wallet balance, and revoke it. We also handle allowances now, so that forms that do require an allowance will be disabled and display an error message if the allowance is too low for the amount requested by the user Price impact warning: we now display the price impact of a given swap transaction (including in the integrated swap). If the price impact of a given transaction is at least 10%, it's shown in red and a warning message indicating this trade might be unfavorable is displayed. Transactions with a price impact of at least 20% are automatically blocked.

VIP-135 Increase WBETH Supply Cap Summary If passed, this VIP will perform the following action: -Increase WBETH Supply Cap from 800 to 4000. Description Since the supply cap for WBETH is getting reached almost immediately each time its increased, Gauntlet recommends an agressive approach (while still taking into account developing liquidity) is warranted. WBETH has adequate CEX liquidity to justify this increase without introducing significant liquidity concentration risk to the protocol, especially given that its CF is very conservatively set at 50% currently. Further, WBETH price is 1:1 with BETH, both assets' supply balances on Venus are similar currently, and WBETH stands to offer a lot of value to Venus with users implementing a LSD-recursive strategy. Thus, Gauntlet feels a 4,000 WBETH supply cap is justified. This recommendation intends to prevent the supply cap from being hit rapidly after the change. Description It has been approximately one year since the last revision to Venus Tokenomics and given the continuing evolution of the market, Venus has re-evaluated and suggested an optimal distribution of income given the protocol’s current and future needs that was voted and agreed to by the community. Also, In preparation for our new Quarterly Buyback and Tokenomics allocation, this VIP Proposal will allocate legacy XVS market rewards to the XVS Vault in accordance with the new Tokenomics. The last legacy XVS rewards allocation was made in the early months of 2022 with VIP-91 for a period of 6 months hence, the necessity to top-up the Vault Rewards for another 6 months period. June 30, 2023 to December 31, 2023 = 184 Days. This VIP will allocate 184 x 1050 = 193,200 XVS to the vault rewards distribution contract. Conclusion The proposed revisions in Venus Protocol Tokenomics are expected to yield positive results for the Venus ecosystem, ensuring a fairer distribution of income and enhancing the platform’s sustainability.
